The directors Chris Will and Michaela Collett have extensive backgrounds in customer service. Chris spent a number of years in the Christchurch Police and Michaela was an Assistant Manager at the Hilton Hotel in Sydney and has been involved with RentWorks for over 5 years. They both own rental properties in Christchurch themselves.

Locating and Placing Tenants
Selection and placement of the right tenant is one of the most important aspects of successfully managing property. Advertising in newspapers, the internet, and our website draws a large number of enquiries as well as personal contacts. We insist on references and photo ID.
We personally show prospective tenants through properties and do not give out keys to prospective tenants.
We are on line with VEDA and T.I.N.Z. where we credit check prospective tenants for any bad debts or Tenancy Tribunal orders, we check back on references to ensure that the tenant has not left previous tenancies owing rental money or having caused damages that have not been paid for. We also have access to systems including T.I.N.Z. (Tenancy Information New Zealand) where we are advised when tenants’ circumstances have changed.
We are on line with the bank, and daily checking of rents ensures that payment of rent is dealt with instantly.
We collect 4 weeks bond and one weeks rent from the tenant before they are able to take possession of a property. This bond is paid to the bond centre in Wellington where it is kept until the end of the tenancy.
We pay our owners on a weekly basis, to our knowledge we are the only property management company in Christchurch which provides this service, and statements are issued monthly.
We pride ourselves on providing the most detailed property inspections in the business.
It is important to keep your property in good condition in order to obtain full market rent. A well maintained property always rents first. We are happy to advise on improvements to the property so that you achieve maximum rent. Because our maintenance team handles ongoing workflow from us they provide competitive prices and they arrive on time.
